Responsibilities
Description
Reporting to the Manager Supply Chain, supervises the activities of warehouse employees, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of day-to-day operations.
Implements warehouse plans that may affect the production, distribution and inventory of finished products in order to enhance product flow.
Coordinates logistics activities with internal/external customers
Organizes warehouse storage area and supervises cycle counts
Monitors processes for inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
Interacts effectively with peers through ongoing communication and exchange of information
Provides input and recommendations to the Manager Supply Chain regarding changes to improve the operation.
Establishes and modifies daily work schedules considering warehouse needs.
Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports to assure mutual understanding and desired results.
Trains and develops direct reports to achieve their maximum potential to retain a motivated and productive workforce.
Recommend personnel for advancement and termination as appropriate.
Supervises warehouse teams to ensure compliance with food packaging safety, sanitation, maintenance and operational safety guidelines and procedures.
Ensures a safe environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment in proper working order.
Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control
Measure and report on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Experience supervising in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
Warehouse operations experience
Experience utilizing ERP systems
Good oral/written communication skills
Computer skills including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook

Located 20 miles north west of Chicago, Franklin Park is just south of O'Hare Airport and is a village in Cook County, Illinois. The population was 18,333 at the 2010 census.
The plant was began plastics production in 1973 manufactures APET, and has approximately 200 employees.
