PRODUCTION TEAM LEAD
Comply and promote all EHS policies, procedures, and safe work instructions in place.
Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality.
Supervise 10 to 15 employees.
Coordinate with the Production Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring and training employees.
Planning, assigning and directing work.
Rewarding and disciplining employees.
Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.
Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals.
Ensure safety programs are effectively implemented, reviewed regularly, revised as necessary.
Ensure all employees are complying with BRC requirements and implementing corrective actions if required.
Take part in daily production meets as required.
Ensure that the docket is at the machine and the counter is set at the proper count.
Prepare samples for checks on the quality of the product.
Complete quality product checks on a timed interval basis. For identified quality issues seek assistance from mechanics, maintenance or tooling.
2+ years of manufacturing / supervisory experience.
Good verbal and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in group situations.
Ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature and consistent manner.
Good computer skills.
SAP experience preferred.
BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)
Keen eye for quality assessment
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Able to follow detailed instructions
